Take Action: Email Assemblymembers and Senators on Designated Days in Just a Few Steps

STEP 1: Find Your Assemblymember & Senator

To make sure your email is counted and taken seriously, you should contact your own State Assemblymember and State Senator first. This only takes about two minutes.

• Go to the official California Legislature website: → https://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/   If you want direct emails for Assemblymembers, you can do a search here.
• Enter your home address (not your work address), then click Search.
• The results page will show:
  • Your State Assemblymember
  • Your State Senator
• Click each legislator’s name and copy their email address from the Contact section. If there is just a contact form, I set up a link to copy/paste. HOWEVER, most Assemblymembers and Senators email addresses are going to be firstname.lastname@asm.ca.gov, and firstname.lastname@sen.ca.gov, respectively.
• When you click one of the Send Email buttons below, paste email addresses into the To: field before sending.

Including your full name and city helps legislative offices verify you as a constituent.

STEP 2: Now Take Action (It’s Easy - Should Not Take More Than 5 Minutes)

• Pick one email group below. Each email covers a different topic. Pick one that matters the most to you.
• Check the day and time window listed before sending.
• Click the link to open a pre-written email automatically.
• Send it. This should take no more than five minutes.

If even 20–50 constituents make these requests in a coordinated way, legislators will take notice.
